The Virginia Forest Landowner Education Program (a program of Virginia Cooperative Extension at Virginia Tech) has received DPOR approval to offer a Continuing Education class for real estate professionals. Real Forestry for Real Estate Basics will introduce real estate professionals to Virginia’s woodlands and the people who own, buy, and sell them. The two-hour course has been approved by DPOR for 1 CE credit in the “Related Subjects” category (approval letter attached). Topics include tree identification and site productivity (timed course outline attached). Our goals are to help Realtors with sales/services to rural landowners and to reach landowners through these trusted professionals. Our School Number is 0228000043, and our Course Approval Number is 0214029661. All of our instructors have also been DPOR approved. Participants will receive copies of Welcome to the Woods, a 28-page, full-color book, to share with their clients.
